Have you spent time and energy on your own personal healing only to find it going out the window when you're in a committed relationship? This four week guided reflective writing workshop is for those of you who have done (or are doing) the work, and want to stay grounded and centred when relationships get real. Using tools from cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), attachment theory, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness practices, I'll help you understand the unique dynamics of your relationship and how to use the powerful tools in your kit to deepen connection and communication with you partner.
Sessions are each 90 minutes and will be held ONLINE
We'll cover:
Identifying and understanding your personal relationship schema
How schemas are activated and how we self-protect in that activation
Your attachment style
Understanding and slowing down your personal triggers
Setting loving boundaries
The behaviours most likely to create negative conflict styles
Establishing fair rules for conflict based on your unique relationship
Asking for what you need in a way that will help you get it
